Usually had up to 4 real ales on offer from the Whitbread stable including Boddingtons's bitter, Flowers Original, Castle Eden and Bass but on our last visit (Sep 2005) all the beers were from the Thwaites/Mitchells group.
Clearly aiming at the food market, but they do have three real ale hand pumps on the bar dispensing Archers Bitter, Black Sheep Bitter and their own label bitter at £1.50 a pint when I visited Oct 03.
The pub has four hand pumps for real ale with 2 beers from each of the Thwaites and Hesket Newmarket breweries.
