Hal's Wine Tour of Bordeaux May 2002
The wines were a 1996 Moulis, Château Poujeaux, and a 1998 Château Lascombe from Margaux.
Château Branaire in St-Julien was an uninteresting building outside, but recently expanded and very modern technically with computers, gravity-fed processes, and lots of new stainless steel.
Château Margaux is a beautiful building with massive Greek columns, probably the most impressive château in all of the region.

Metropole Paris - The Tuileries Gardens
At first this garden was separated from the château by a high wall and a crummy alley, called 'Tuileries,' which ran down to the Seine.
By the time it occurred to her to join her château to the Pavillon de Flore with a 'grand-gallery,' the work on the château had advanced by two years - and it was built on an axis different to that of the Louvre.
I always thought the line was straight from the centre of the Arc de Triomphe, through the Rond-Point on the Champs-Elysées, through the Obelisk at Concorde, through the Tuileries Gardens and the Arc du Carrousel, to the centre of the Pyramid in the Louvre's Cour Napoléon.

Amazon.com: Books: Anne Willan: From My Chateau Kitchen
From My Château Kitchen revolves around three subjects: the author's life in the 17th-century Burgundian château she and her husband own; the work of the farmers, vintners, restaurateurs, and others who live in the area and define its spirit; and Burgundian food, the glorious regional plats that represent a time-honored yet ever-evolving cuisine.
Owner of La Varenne cooking school and author of La Varenne Pratique, Willan chronicles her culinary adventures at Ch?teau du Fey, a 17th-century Burgundy ch?teau that she and her husband bought in 1982.
Closing with a chapter that presents the château wedding of Willan's daughter (and includes the wedding cake recipe), the book comes full circle; it returns readers to a beginning and reminds them that food, which is the life of the Burgundian land, is without break, beginning or end.

 Untitled Document
Around 1560, he commissioned the architect Jean Bullant, who was already working on his Château d'Ecouen, to construct the Capitainerie or Petit Château, the most ancient standing part of Chantilly.
Louis Henri, Prince de Bourbon Condé (1692 - 1740), the prime minister of Louis XV from 1723 to 1726, commissioned Jean Aubert to build the Grands Ecuries, a masterpiece of the 18th century, and to decorate the apartments of Le Petit Château.
His son, Louis Joseph, Prince de Condé (1736 - 1818), was responsible for building the Jeu de Paume in 1756 and the Château d'Enghien, a long, classical building situated on the right of the Grille d'Honneur, built by Jean François Leroy between 1769 and 1772.

Fact Sheet - Château Margaux - Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux
Fearful for his reputation and for that of Château Margaux, he immediately began to sell his wines in lots specified as "grand vin," or "first wine," and "second wine," intending thereby an easily identifiable qualitative selection for the purchaser.
For nearly fifty years after the descendants of Comte Pillet-Will sold Château Margaux, no Pavillon Rouge was produced, but the Mentzelopoulos family, who acquired Margaux in 1977, reinstated the production of the château's young vines under the label to create one of the Médoc's finest second wines.
The wine follows roughly the same composition as Château Margaux depending on the vintage year, with production averaging 175,000 bottles annually, or half the estate's total yield.
