Why not go to 2nd Avenue Deli where you can get one of the best pastrami and corned beef sandwiches.
It's a very N.Y. place - located on 2nd Avenue and 10th St. As it is kosher, with meat being served there is no dairy which means no cheese for any sandwiches.

Dinner followed at the 2nd Avenue Deli, where I had my usual bowl of cholent and a great mass of coleslaw and pickles.
The 2nd Avenue Deli is at 2nd Avenue and 10th Street, on the SE corner; it's pretty easy to spot.
My favorite moment: It transpired that the 2nd Avenue Deli serves cola by the pitcher much less expensively than by the can, but the cola in pitchers is RC, which is mostly despised by people who care about such things.
