Glenfiddich Distillery Feature Page on Undiscovered Scotland
Glenfiddich's bottling plant is more significant than it might seem.
The name Glenfiddich came from the Gaelic valley of the deer and the first whisky produced was marketed, as it is today, under the brand of a stag's head.
It is much more usual in the industry for the dilution and bottling to take place well away from the distillery, using distilled water for dilution.

Like several other distillers, the company also feels its label should be used only on whisky aged according to its own practices.
The distillery is unusual in that it has its own bottling line on the premises.
The only other malt distillery with bottling facilities is Springbank, where a very small line is also used for the Cadenhead range.

Glenfiddich review by Alternative Whisky Academy : Glenfiddich scotch malt whisky
Water from the river Glenfiddich is usually NOT used within the whisky but only in progress of cooling down in the worm.
It's 18 Years old, one for each member of the Glenfiddich family.
Mild very surprising acording to the smell, not spirituous, a bit to mild an extra point because it's Glenfiddich - They have improved themself.
