I was able to find a Masala Chai tea mix in a local grocery store in the Indian foods section.
I also tried making the Masala Chai mixture from scratch using cardamom pods, fresh ginger, cinammon sticks, cloves and black pepper and still need to experiment more with the right amounts to suit my tastes.
Apparently there are a lot more spices that could be used although the ones I listed above are the most common ones.

My great Muslim belt manufacturer friend has been so much fun--hanging out in the office all day--we eat lunch and drink tons of chai masala (the spicy Indian tea--yum yum).
His crazy friends only add to the mix and without him I never would have tried pan--beetle nut mixed with herbs in a leaf.
I made friends with the postcard seller and a 20-year-old pimp/pusher is also buddy/buddy with me. The underworld is quite friendly in this area and the homeless people all say hello to me with a big smile.

One thing I never understood is how come people can ditch a good Chai( the Number of anti-oxidants in that) which is also good for health ( depends on the quantity you drink) to Coffee which is bad for health b/c of the Caffeine..
In Chennai, where I am from it used to be expensive to get a Masala Chai so split a cup of chai by 1/2, 3/5, 5/8….depending on how many of us go.
I also remember vividly how I used to drink tender coconut everyday..

Today is the last day I have internet at home, and it will be a sad sojourn till I get to Bangalore's cheap imitation in the northern hemisphere, which is in two and a half weeks time.
