I love butter on crackers with chili and vegetable beef soup and potato, oysterettes(we actually don't have "oysterettes" anymore, just oyster crackers) in oyster stew.
The only exception to crackers in the soup is the oyster cracker, but do not bury your soup with oyster crackers; use them a little at a time.
