30 March 2005 06:41 PM My experiance is that filters don't hold much tallow and I suspect as soon as a bag gets a thin coating on the surface you are done, it is plugged.
Biologicals -- It must have been something other than algi growing in my storage tank because 5 gallon of diesel mixed into the 200 gallon of oil killed off whatever it was, took a week of running the circulation filter to catch it all.
I intend to add a similar cooling stage to try to reduce my vehicle filter tallow plugging problem but I will try the opposite technique.
