If I used Lady Penzence, a hybrid between eglanteria and the tetraploid R. foetida bicolor, using Applejack's tetraploid pollen, would the results be a hybrid with 2/3 LP and 1/4th AJ genes.
But if I pollinated eglanteria with tetraploid pollen, it will result a hexaploid hybrid with 42 chromasomes, 2/3rd of it which will eglanteria and 1/4th of the tetraploid.
So if I pollinated a tetraploid rose like a mini (specifically mini mosses and Basye's Blueberry and Thornless), it would result in a tetraploid.
